Known as Norssi, this is Tampere University's teacher training school, part of the Faculty of Education and Culture, where student teachers do their teaching practice and teaching is developed through trials. Basic education in grades 1 to 9 and upper secondary form one unified whole, though they operate on separate sites. Basic education emphasises music and circus arts, and uses the KAKS10 56 learning environment, a Maker path and the DigiAgentit programme.
Norssi takes part in Erasmus+ and UNESCO activities. Pupils and guardians use Wilma and Office 365, and lunches are provided by Compass Group. The website has a section on applying to Norssi, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible.
