This three-storey building is one of three belonging to a comprehensive school in Tampere with about 900 pupils in total, and it houses class 0R and grades 1 and 2. The school offers bilingual teaching in French and Finnish and has a music emphasis.
A wide, lit path and a ramp over 6 metres long, with a landing and handrails on both sides, lead to the entrance. The door opens automatically at the push of a button and has an audible beacon, though the thresholds are over 2 cm high. A wheelchair-sized lift opens with an access key, and there are accessible toilets on the entrance floor and the third floor. Parking is on the surrounding streets, with a separate drop-off point.
