Tampere's city orchestra is a full-size symphony orchestra of 97 musicians based at Tampere Hall. Alongside symphonic concerts, it plays chamber music, light music and children's concerts, and accompanies opera and ballet performances at the hall. The British conductor Matthew Halls is its chief conductor and artistic director.
Tickets are sold at the Tampere Hall box office, the Aplodi culture shop and Lippu.fi, and season tickets and group tickets are also available. The entrance to Tampere Hall is step-free, and the orchestra's website is in Finnish and English.
