This Tampere museum is set in the childhood home of the writer Lauri Viita. It has a small shop, and the website adds a virtual museum, a photo gallery, videos and an archive that includes material from a Viita week for schoolchildren.
The house opens at weekends in summer, but visits can be arranged at other times all year round, and guided tours are offered outside opening hours. Admission is payable in cash only. It is suitable for children and has a toilet, but it is not wheelchair accessible.
