Opened in Tampere in February 2025, this political history museum is the only one in Finland focused on the country's relations with its eastern neighbour. Exhibitions trace relations with Russia and the Soviet Union from independence in 1917 to the present day, including culture, the economy and everyday life, and a timeline starts in 1809. The same building housed the Lenin Museum from 1946 to 2024.
Public guided tours of about an hour run at 1 pm on Saturdays and Sundays and are included in the ticket; groups can book their own tour. The audio guide is in Finnish, English, German and Russian. Wheelchair users take the lift from staircase D to the third floor, where staff open the door.
