Housed in Tampere Hall, the Moomin Museum is the only one of its kind in the world: an immersive art experience for all ages built around Tove Jansson's original illustrations. The whole Moomin story unfolds here, as you peek into the Hobgoblin's Hat and look at three-dimensional Moomin scenes, and the Observatorio space hosts changing exhibitions.
Public guided tours run at weekends, the Atelier has open workshops, and there is a reading library. A visit usually takes from 10 minutes to an hour and a half. There is an entry fee, the entrance, toilets and parking are accessible, and there is a baby-changing table. The building has a restaurant, Tuhto, and a shop that also sells online.
