The Olympic runner's former home is a family-owned house museum. His father Johan bought the workers' flat in 1903, and his mother Matilda shared a small room with four children until 1920. After the first Olympic victories, the family gained use of the entire flat and installed electricity and running water. The runner moved out permanently in 1932.
A 360-degree virtual exhibition allows online exploration of the apartment. Visit enquiries go to the site's contact person, as TAHTO does not organise visits to the museum.
