Professional conversational support is for young people aged 10–18 and their parents and families in Southwest Finland. Services include short-term discussion support, family work, peer groups for young people and parents, and parent lectures. The service is part of the Southwest Finland child welfare organisations' association.
Support can be sought directly or on a professional's recommendation, without a referral. Meetings take place at Perhetalo Heideken or remotely and are delivered by professionals. Online courses and group-leader training are offered to people working with young people and families. The service began as a low-threshold adolescent support model with a project phase in 2011–2015.
