This Turku building is run jointly by Varsinais-Suomen Lastensuojelujärjestöt ry and the Southwest Finland district of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare (MLL). It is a hub for child welfare organisations and a meeting place for children, young people and families. In the late 19th century Carl von Heideken founded a maternity hospital here, where native Turku people were born until 1995.
Meeting and training rooms can be rented, and the income helps maintain the building. It is open during events and at other times by arrangement, and booking details are in the rentals section of the website.
