Formed by a parish merger in 2017, the Orthodox parish operates across 19 municipalities in the Saimaa region and belongs to the Diocese of Kuopio and Karelia. Activities include liturgies, vigils, prayer services, icon circles and courses introducing Orthodox Christianity. Liturgies are held in Finnish and Russian.
There are activities for older people and young people, a Ukrainian peer group, a Russian-language club and an immigrant language café. Parish halls can be hired, while genealogy certificates and church records are handled by the central register. The website links to chant practice recordings. The administrative centre's entrance, parking and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
