Founded in 1932, the Evangelical Lutheran parish has roots in the A. Ahlström factory community, whose parish activities began in 1866. The main church was built in 1937 to 1939 following an architectural competition in 1935. Its altar fresco was painted by Lennart Segerstråle in 1954.
Services include a parish office, diaconal support office, funeral and burial services, and a charity second-hand shop. Finnish has been its official language since 1999. An accessible route leads to the office through the courtyard, and the toilet and car park are also accessible.
