Former ship's cook Rolf Sjöberg, who had worked in the Mediterranean, opened a pizzeria in Helsinki in 1970, and in 1987 it grew into an Italian à la carte restaurant. Everything is made from scratch in-house, cold cuts and cheeses are imported directly from Italy, and the menu centres on pasta, pizza and Italian classics, with Italian wines to match.
Booking ahead for dinner is recommended, online or by phone. Takeaway can be ordered in person or by phone, but there is no delivery. Vegetarian and vegan options and cocktails are available, high chairs are provided and there is outdoor seating. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible. Gift cards are sold.
