This vocational school trains massage therapists and holds a national education provider licence from the Ministry of Education and Culture. It offers the professional massage therapist qualification and the specialist professional qualification, and sports massage studies are part of the professional qualification. Courses have run without a break since 1991, and graduates include international competitors and Finnish champions. The training is designed to be flexible for athletes who want to keep training alongside their studies.
Skills can also be demonstrated through a competence-based assessment alone if you already have them; assessments are held at least twice a year per unit. The teaching premises are in the city centre with good transport links, and the school's massage service point also works as a placement for students. Courses start in January and August.
