Founded in 2007, the non-profit foundation supports Baltic Sea Region cooperation through communication, coordination and networks. It acts as secretariat for the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region and takes part in international and EU-funded projects.
Publications include Baltic Rim Economies, BSR Policy Briefings and the Pulloposti column series. The foundation has organised the annual Baltic Sea Region Forum since 2008. Its office is in Hjeltintalo.
