Housed in an old industrial building in the Merikortteli block in Helsinki, this pizzeria makes two styles of pizza. The airy-edged Neapolitan pizza uses hand-shaped 00-flour dough baked for a few minutes in a wood-fired oven. The Roman-style dough rises for 36 to 48 hours and is baked at about 300°C. The tomato sauce is never cooked, and ingredients come from Italian producers.
Tables can be booked online, and it is wise to book ahead for weekend evenings. The menu also has pan-style pizza, fried shrimp with stracciatella, wine, and vegetarian and vegan dishes. There is outdoor seating, dogs are welcome and the entrance is step-free. Trams 1 and 6 stop nearby.
