The restaurant is led by chef Ilkka Lääveri and Sari Helin and serves creative, product-driven cuisine. Ingredients come from nearby: Lake Saimaa, the forest and local fields, with sustainability as a guiding principle. Wines are sourced from the Valamo monastery and Europe. Lääveri and Helin's Helsinki restaurant Le Ankka is listed in the Falstaff and Michelin guides. Puruvesi whitefish (muikku) is on the menu daily whenever available.
Tables can be booked online, and gift vouchers are available. Seating, parking, the entrance and the toilet are wheelchair accessible, but there is no hearing loop.
