This Helsinki restaurant serves Finnish food drawn from lakes, fells, forests and fields, using seasonal ingredients. Its speciality is alder-smoked rainbow trout, finished in front of the diner. The menu also features reindeer and lamb neck, and reindeer-antler chandeliers hang in the dining room. It belongs to the family business A&S Ravintolat.
There are several menus, including a sauna menu, a vegetable menu and a children's menu for under-12s, with lactose-free and gluten-free dishes marked. Tables are booked online, and a dinner reservation is recommended. Groups are asked to share one menu and to mention food allergies in advance. A visit usually lasts two to three and a half hours.
